[[de]]Auf der zu Venedig gehörenden Insel Murano befinden sich seit vielen Jahrhunderten die traditionellen Glasbläsereien, die schon im 16./17. Jahrhundert für ihre höchste Kunstfertigkeit berühmt waren. Auch heute wird dort mit unvergleichlichem Können Glaskunst hergestellt. Muranoglas ist bekannt für eine besondere Transparenz der Farben. Die Glaspaste erhält ihre berühmte und einzigartige farbliche Intensität durch spezielle Färbemittel, die heute teilweise nicht mehr zum Einsatz kommen. Glasprodukte, die in kostspieliger manueller Arbeit entstanden und auch heute noch entstehen, sind Ausdruck von Einzigartigkeit und höchster Qualität. In früheren Jahren wurden die Reste aus der Produktion direkt ins Meer gekippt, um sie zu entsorgen. Und noch heute werden sie in Form von Glasklumpen, Scherben und anderen Bruchstücken an einem kleinen Strand von Murano angespült. Diese wertvollen, weil absolut einzigartigen Fundstücke werden von Alessandra Piazza in aufwändiger Handarbeit und in vielen Einzelschritten zu wundervollen Schmuckstücken verarbeitet.

So entstehen in ihrer Werkstatt unter anderem in Kombination mit Gold und Silber exquisite Unikate. Mit feinem Gespür für das Zusammenspiel von Werkstoffen kommen aber auch Unedelmetalle wie Messing, Bronze, Kupfer und Eisen für die bestechenden Schmuckkreationen zum Einsatz, wenn sie dem Charakter und der Farbe des Kristalls perfekt entsprechen.

Bei jedem Einzelstück wird großer Wert darauf gelegt, die farbliche Brillanz des Glaselements besonders zur Geltung zu bringen. Mit der Verarbeitung der Jahrhunderte alten Glasreste setzt die Goldschmiedin gleichzeitig ein Statement für eine nachhaltige Welt. Denn die Edelstein- und Diamantenverarbeitung erfolgt in der Regel nicht unter ökologischen Gesichtspunkten. Das verwendete Murano-Glas dagegen ist ein nachhaltiger Werkstoff und besticht zugleich durch seine enorme farbliche Strahlkraft. In der handwerklichen Kunst von Alessandra Piazza wird deutlich, dass sich absolute Exklusivität und Nachhaltigkeit nicht ausschließen.

[[en]]The island of Murano, lying in the Province of Venice, for many centuries has been home to traditional and world renowned glassblowing workshops, dating back as early as the 16th and 17th centuries. With an age-old legacy for superior craftsmanship, glass art is still produced there to this day with the same passion, embellished even more so by the use of world famous Murano glass. The glass gets its famous and unique colouring from a millennia-old process local only to the island, using natural minerals and metals to create vibrant and truly unique glass. In earlier years, glass leftovers were dumped directly into the sea. Still many years later, these glass lumps continue to wash up on one small beach in Murano. Thus giving the glass products the uniquity of being hand salvaged from the ocean before being elaborately handcrafted by Alessandra Piazza, in her Munich workshop, into remarkable one-of-a-kind pieces of jewellery. Thus, through the combination with gold and silver, among other materials, such as brass, bronze, copper and iron, a fine combination of materials is used to create truly unique and artistic jewellery which highlights the brilliance and colour of the glass element. Through the repurposing of centuries-old glass remnants, the jewellery simultaneously makes a statement for a sustainable world. After all, the processing and acquisition of gemstones and diamonds is not usually done so through philanthropic means. On the other hand the Murano glass is a sustainable material which doesn’t fail to captivate through its colourful radiance. Through the craftsmanship of Alessandra Piazza, it becomes clear that absolute exclusivity does not rule out sustainability.

[[it]]L'isola di Murano, che fa parte del Comune di Venezia, è stata sede per molti secoli di officine tradizionali di soffiatura del vetro ed è famosa per il suo artigianato risalente ai secoli XVI° e XVII°. Ancora oggi gli oggetti di vetro sono prodotti con una straordinaria abilità. Il vetro di Murano è noto per la speciale trasparenza dei suoi colori. La pasta di vetro ottiene la sua intensità di colore, unica e rinnomata, da speciali coloranti, alcuni dei quali non sono più utilizzati oggi. I prodotti in vetro che sono stati creati in passato e che vengono forgiati ancora oggi mediante un faticoso lavoro manuale sono espressione di unicità e di alta qualità. Negli anni precedenti, gli avanzi della produzione venivano scaricati direttamente in mare per lo smaltimento; parte di questi scarti si possono trovare ancor oggi sotto forma di grumi di vetro, cocci e altri frammenti su una piccola zona di Murano prospiciente la laguna. Questi preziosi ed assolutamente unici oggetti trovati presso l’isola di Murano sono lavorati a mano da Alessandra Piazza e trasformati in pregiati pezzi di gioielleria.

In questo modo, nel suo laboratorio vengono creati rari pezzi unici in combinazione con oro e argento. Grazie ad una fine sensibilità̀  per il gioco dei materiali, i metalli di base come l'ottone, il bronzo, il rame e il ferro sono utilizzati anche per le creazioni di gioielli  pregiati che si abbinano perfettamente al carattere e al colore del cristallo. Per ogni singolo pezzo, si presta molta attenzione a far risaltare la brillantezza del colore dell'elemento in vetro. Lavorando i resti secolari di vetro, l'orafa promuove una attività  per un mondo sostenibile (una sorta didichiarazione di sostenibilità del proprio lavoro); infatti la lavorazione delle pietre preziose e dei diamanti non è di solito effettuata tenendo conto delle conseguenze ecologiche. Il vetro di Murano utilizzato come sopradescritto è un materiale sostenibile e allo stesso tempo affascina per la grande lucentezza del colore. Nell'artigianato di Alessandra Piazza risulta chiaro che l’esclusività  e la sostenibilità dei materiali e della lavorazione non si escludono a vicenda.
